There really is no need for words in this space. The work of these dudes last year should more than speak for itself. Delivering maniacal performances wherever they went and thrashing the shit out of records was regular business for Toronto’s Zeds Dead. Capping off a huge calendar year with their Graveyard Tour, the momentum continues with the boys new EP Adrenaline. The four track set doesn’t drop til January 23rd via Inspected Records but you can wet your appetite with the tune ‘In The Beginning’ below. Other goodies as well.

Completing the trilogy, The Weeknd finally delivers the final chapter in Echoes of Silence. An adventurous listen from top to bottom, the sound of the mixtape aligns more with House Of Balloons in my opinion, while still maintaining an independent sound. A group I’ve been following for a little while, Toronto’s BADBADNOTGOOD just released a live mixtape of their performance at The Red Light back in September. The group is best described as an ecletic union of alternative and jazz, though I’d categorize it above coffee shop music. Creativity at its finest, as the group mixes in some heavier hip hop basslines over sensible piano melodies seamlessly. The tape features covers of A Tribe Called Quest, Waka Flocka, and Tyler, The Creator with some new material scattered throughout. BBNGLIVE 1 below.
