New Year, fresh start, new faces, high hopes, and new adventures. 2012. Hopefully it turns out the way we would like and if not, well, hopefully you get to lick face and slap the party bass often. Here’s a set of tunes for your listening pleasure, so dig in. And Happy New Year. OH! And we got a Tumblr, reach.
New remix from Skrillex that I’m totally digging. He’s taken SebastiAn and Mayer Hawthorne’s ‘Love In Motion’ and turned it inside out. The more subtle bassline bears little resemblance to the original, yet Sonny manages to tie things together nicely by keeping the funky vibe to back the nice vocals from Hawthorne. Everything’s smooth sailing til the crushing breakdown we’ve come to expect from one of dubstep’s best. – @SpcPck
Can’t believe how long this series has been going, fuggin 29th edition right here. Still as strong as ever, full playlist below for your weekend festivities. Lots of variety in this set with tracks from new tracks from Deadmau5, Lil Wayne, Avicii, STS, and others. Set things off below (right click, save link as to download). – @SpcPck
Another weekend, another set of fresh tracks to get you through. Soul Cartel’s seamless edit of Calvin Harris’ classic ‘Flashback’ and STS’ rapidfire flow on ‘STSIsGOLD’ are going to be racking up the most plays for me. What’s your favourite out of the bunch?
#FreshFridays, volume eighteen (fuck we’re getting old). Some stellar tracks lined up, with a little bit of everything to get the weekend going. Live long and prosper.
If you’re a follower of Thrashing Thursdays, you’re probably saying to yourself ‘Wait, this can’t be week #1 of the series, because where else would I have found these banging tracks that have been invading my playlists lately?’ Well to set everything straight, I would like to make this series into more of a round up of tracks that have been burning my ears at any Thursday of every week. This gives me the opportunity to posts more tracks and showcase more artists in each post. And that makes everyone happy!
So with all that aside, let this week’s Thrashing Thursday be the soundtrack to kick off your early long weekend early.
Wow, Skrillex is trying his hand at everything nowadays. He’s experimented with rasta vibes on his track Ruffneck Bass, deathcore on his collaboration with KoRn and now hip hop with this track featuring Foreign Beggars, all while reinventing the definition of dance music. Keep doing your thing Skrillex and we’ll keep listening!
This song first surfaced as a collaboration between Feed Me and Deadmau5. I was beside myself when I first heard about it! However, the track has been recently identified belonging to Al Bizarre. Regardless, this track cranks it out with awesome power
Madeon recently released a fantastic remix of Deadmau5′s epic Raise Your Weapon. This here is a great mashup that pieces the first verse of Deadmau5′ version with Madeon’s remix. It works together very very nicely
I don’t know much about this guy but NEUS’ jams are off the hook. Gaël Guidicelli (Neus) has been mentioned many times on SpacePack but I feel he deserves his own time to be profiled. Take a listen to a few of his thumpers, the bass will make your heart skip a beat. If you are pregnant or have a heart condition, use discretion when handling the volume.
One of my favourite #FreshFridays post ever. No seriously. I love this post as much as I love Ms. Miller (her maiden name for the time being). Highlights: Laidback Luke delivering a very ‘Dirty Talk’-ish track with Lady Bee, the Daft Punk and Stardust mashup, Sidney Samson’s remix of ‘Turbulence’, a picture of Lyssa, and Overnight Bromance. Enjoy.
The Notorious B.I.G. – Kick In The Door (Rockwell’s 2011 Bootleg)
Thrashing Thursdays are upon us again. I don’t have much time for this post, so I figure I’d throw a bunch of songs together and see what sticks. Here’s a roundup of some blast off bangers to get your Thrashing Thursday going!
Filthy tune for us today courtesy of Deadmau5. Weighing in at just over 8 minutes long, Catbread is more like an electronic saga than your typical house track. Get some,
Deadmau5 has his own record label, Mau5Trap, and I would like to share a few tracks with artists signed to this label. The first comes from Grammy-nominated dj Wolfgang Gartner. Here’s a dope remix of one of Gartner’s tracks, it even has some pieces of Illmerica embedded into it.
And here’s the outrageously epic Illmerica. I heard rumours that Wolfgang spent many thousands of hours editing and re-editing this track until it reached perfection. I’m no producer, but I can imagine reaching this point of perfection would take thousands of hours to achieve. This track is A-1!
Another signed artist on the Mau5trap record label is DJ Moguai. The song presented here features SOFI (which is an acronym for Some Other Female Interest). Dirty female vocals and rude drum beats offend my ears in all the right ways,
Feed Me is another massive electro act that’s part of this Mau5Trap family. Check their huge remix of Robyn’s Call Your Girlfriend, as well as today’s musical dosage entitled Green Bottle,
And of course an artist that needs no introduction, Skrillex. This is a big acquisition for the Mau5Trap dynasty, covering all musical fronts by adopting the biggest name in dubstep to go with arguably the biggest name in the electro scene (Deadmau5). Here’s a certified rager with German influence,
