First off, I’m really feeling the sample on this one. Mad props to Xaphoon (even though your recent beat/mixtape thingy was kinda of soft). Built off the classic Motown trio Martha and The Vandellas’ 1960s hit ‘(Love Is Like a) Heat Wave’, Xaphoon’s crafted this gem which has an undeniable summer time vibe to it (see the title). Gilbere Forté goes in over Adele’s ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ with the help of production duo Twice As Nice. Works out well, much of Adele’s vocals are left to carry the tune with Forté delivering three solid verses on the emotional track. I’m going to give it an A-.
