K. So off the top, this was an extremely difficult post to write. It’s only around 250 words, but coming up with the words to describe Laidback Luke’s show last night was one of the most difficult things I’ve done in weeks (deciding on what to eat for lunch today was also really difficult).

So Laidback went hard as fuck last night at Guvernment. Great show. Track selection was a good mix of old classics such as his remixes of MSTRKRFT’s ‘Heartbreaker’ and of David Guetta’s ‘When Love Takes Over’ plus more recent hits such as ‘Timebomb’, ‘Indestructible’, and ‘Dirty Talk’. The 3 hour set also included remixes of Drake’s ‘Over’ (?), Rage Against The Machine’s ‘Killing In The Name Of’ and some other tracks that I honestly don’t remember. I tried to get ahold of a setlist from The Flying Dutchman but unfortunately he didn’t record the set, so you can blame him and rely on your own memories if you were there.

Laidback’s ability to keep the energy level at a constant high was truly astonishing, making two hours into the set feel as if we were still in the first fifteen minutes. His crowd interaction was also prime, always motivating the crowd to bring the noise up a notch and giving props to folks that ventured up to the DJ booth uninvited. A great entertainer who can truly spin some chaos on the set. P.S. Javiera took pictures, so bother her if you want to see them.
