Thought I’d drop off a couple tracks off Cole’s upcoming album. The first track ‘Lights Please’ is taken from the first half of the album, a smooth cut similar to much of J. Cole’s recent material. The second track ‘Rise And Shine’ is found towards the end of the set, but ranks towards the top in terms of quality tracks on the LP. Listen and download both below.

J. Cole happened to be one of the more unexpected guests at Drake’s OVOfest last night. He did his part to send the crowd into a frenzy with his performance alongside Drake. Keeping things moving, Cole also dropped this 5 track EP last night via Dreamvillain. The Any Given Sunday series will provide a lil something every Sunday til his album drops on September 27th. The past week was an absolute killer one for new tunes, across all genres. I’d love to post all of tracks up here, but time really hasn’t been on my side of late. The tracks below should more than suffice though, with a drop from The Weeknd’s upcoming Thursday tape and a sweet collab between two Toronto duos in Zeds Dead and The Killabits. Cole dropped this one late last night via Dreamvillain. ‘Return of Simba’ is offered as the prelude to the release of a possible track next week and is not a single from his upcoming album. The track samples a bit from one of my favourite movies of ever, The Lion King, before Cole gets up to his usual business.
