It’s the most un-wonderful time of the year again. Finals season. The time of year where the library becomes your second home and you ask yourself why you failed to learn this shit during the actual time allotted to learn it (the semester). Before you give your brain any cramps, take some time out to listen to this new track from Mansions on the Moon. ‘Leaves Fall’ is the first leak from the trio’s upcoming Lightyears EP (executive production being handling by Pharrell), so thankfully there’s more of this coming in the near future. Enjoy the addition to your study playlists and shouts to everybody fighting the good fight.

A group I’ve been following for a little while, Toronto’s BADBADNOTGOOD just released a live mixtape of their performance at The Red Light back in September. The group is best described as an ecletic union of alternative and jazz, though I’d categorize it above coffee shop music. Creativity at its finest, as the group mixes in some heavier hip hop basslines over sensible piano melodies seamlessly. The tape features covers of A Tribe Called Quest, Waka Flocka, and Tyler, The Creator with some new material scattered throughout. BBNGLIVE 1 below. And hit up their Bandcamp for a taste of their September release.
Compton’s finest gets some help from Power 106′s DJ Reflex for his take on the smash single ‘Pumped Up Kicks’. Listen x Download below.

Australian indie newcomers San Cisco‘s debut EP Golden Revolver is now out and is making waves across the interwebz. Listen or Watch the EP’s lead track ‘Golden Revolver’ below.
“San Cisco are the latest indie act to emerge from Fremantle in sunny Western Australia. On the weekends they go skateboarding, play Nintendo 64 and make a bit of indie pop on the side. Scarlett bangs the drums, Nick plays bass and Jordi & Josh are the guys that play the guitars, write the songs and sing them.
San Cisco have spent the past year or so graduating high school, performing at festivals (including Big Day Out and Laneway) and playing round town pretty much every weekend. But don’t let their youth fool you. They have also produced their debut EP called Golden Revolver, which has just hit stores and already found a home on Triple J and community radio around Australia. Confident with stage presence and strong with vocals San Cisco continue to impress with their brand of upbeat summer pop.
Produced by Matthew Chequer (Little Birdy) & Steven Schram (Little Red, Cat Empire, Little Birday), the EP is an eclectic mix of indie pop with folk undertones, slashes of synth and influences ranging from Bright Eyes to Vampire Weekend.”
