One of my artists of the moment, Mr. A$AP Rocky lets loose the visuals for the track ‘Demons’. The track is taken from his latest project Live.Love.A$AP [listen|download] which you should already be on.

The Weeknd – The Knowing (Official Video) from xoxxxoooxo on Vimeo.

I really don’t know what to say. The video starts off decent, like “alright I get everything so far”, then your morning coffee somehow gets spiked with LSD and you’re off. Very unconventional to say the least, so set aside 10 minutes and watch.

A group I’ve been following for a little while, Toronto’s BADBADNOTGOOD just released a live mixtape of their performance at The Red Light back in September. The group is best described as an ecletic union of alternative and jazz, though I’d categorize it above coffee shop music. Creativity at its finest, as the group mixes in some heavier hip hop basslines over sensible piano melodies seamlessly. The tape features covers of A Tribe Called Quest, Waka Flocka, and Tyler, The Creator with some new material scattered throughout. BBNGLIVE 1 below. And hit up their Bandcamp for a taste of their September release.

I rarely (never actually) do this, but I’m posting this track without having listened to it first. That’s how much faith I have in this track and album. Everything that Common has touched of late has been hype, and I expect no less from this. The track is ‘Celebrate’, production (as with every other track on the album) handled by the talented No I.D. The Dreamer, The Believer drops December 20th and I’m open to anonymous gifts.

As part of the Regeneration Music Project, DJ Premier teamed up with the Berklee Symphony Orchestra and Queens alumni Nas for this classical, hip hop blend. Definitely worthy of a listen.

Presented by Hyundai Veloster, RE:GENERATION is a documentary film that follows DJ Premier, Pretty Lights, The Crystal Method, Mark Ronson, and Skrillex as they remix, recreate and re-imagine five traditional styles of music.

In order to bring some balance back to SpacePack (which at times seems like a ear-splitting, bass heavy, cascading lightshow), peep this stellar cover of The Weeknd’s ‘Wicked Games’. Coeur de pirate does a superb job in covering one of my personal favourite tracks off House Of Balloons. Credits to Chelsea.

Bejesus. Two kids from the land of blondes get together for this big room rework. Van Hooft and Forever Kid flip ‘How Will I Know‘ from 1985′s record-setting Whitney Houston into this beast of an MP3. The Swedes are truly on top of their game right now. – @SpcPck / Facebook

New hard rocking electronic track from Gentlemen Thieves. The audio really brings me back to the days of ripping Gran Turismo on PS2 (which always had solid soundtracks).
