A project that might have flew under the radar for many, A.ware released his solo project Lady Heroin
early last month. The free tape, presented by the good folks at Greedmont Park and Kevin Nottingham, is a nice listen for those into the (I guessing I’m coining a genre here or something) “indie hip hop” segment. The use of non-traditional hip hop elements such as alternative instrumentation and electronic samples make this tape an interesting listen.
Usually we can rely on Mondays to provide us with some new dece tracks. This last Monday of July was rather ordinary in terms of new music, with some solid releases but nothing really off the charts. Nonetheless, I rounded up the day’s must hear tracks in the world of hip hop.
