Sam Roberts Band – Collider (Album)

The album Collider from the Sam Roberts Band (previously featured here) was released this past Tuesday and it is great! Some of the bros and I are headed up to cottage country for the weekend so I thought it would be appropriate to share some dock rock jams with the rest of the blogosphere world. Collider is a masterfully crafted album from the consistently awesome group members of the Sam Roberts Band, providing us with a clean, rhythmically balanced sound that is best appreciated when listening to the album as a cohesive whole rather than in individual tracks. Having said that, take a listen to some of the standout cuts from the album and you’ll get a good feel for the direction that Sam and the fellas took for this album.

Sam Roberts Band – Twist the Knife

Overall, I’m very pleased with the sound of the album. I always considered Sam Roberts to be an anchor in music, one of those bands you could always count on for good album after good album. Collider is no exception. Support the artists by buying their material here and going to a show (or two or three) of theirs. Sam Roberts Band tour schedule here.

Cheers!
