Cool Indie – The Morning Benders
For those who may not know, today is officially Marathon Monday! What is Marathon Monday you might say? Well I’m glad you aksed. According to Urbandictionary,
“Marathon Monday is often considered, among Bostonians, as the greatest day of each year. Falling on the third Monday of April, the marathon provides a race as a backdrop to the biggest day of drinking and legalized hookie-playing found anywhere in the country.”
The biggest day of drinking and legalized hookie-playing made famous by the show Blue Mountain State has now found it’s way into Canada. Considering that this Drink-A-Thon is an all day affair, I figured it would be appropriate to include some tracks from The Morning Benders…….Get it?? wink wink nudge nudge
The Morning Benders are a four piece indie rock band from Berkely, California. Their release Big Echo is fantastic and worth a listen if you haven’t already.
