So we’re old now. Weird coincidence that this happened right around the time that I enter some weird-ass new territory that lies north of twenty-one years of age. Wanted to do something crazy for this post, but I’m out of ideas on this one. Things might get real gritty around here since we’re in the century club, like I might just post random stories of crazy junkies on the streets Caracas and other business like that. Word to your mother.
So I guess you guys came here for some tunes, so let’s get to that. There’s really no perfect song for a milestone post, so I just compiled a basket of songs, new and old. Feel free to drop some comments about this post or how you feel about the blog as a whole so far. Here’s the lineup: Lupe Fiasco, Ra Ra Riot, Wale, Tyga, Rick Ross, Das Racist and Cold War Kids. Starters below with the rest after the jump.
Cold War Kids – Mine Is Yours (Yeasayer Remix)
Tyga ft. Snoop Dogg, Game & Pharrell – Really Raw
Ra Ra Riot – Can You Tell (The Kids Are Radioactive Remix)
Lupe Fiasco ft. Skylar Grey – Words I Never Said
Props to EM, The Fader, PMA, and the tall skinny kid downstairs.
And PS: I’m going to be really, really wasted over the next couple of days celebrating birthdays and the Super Bowl. Probably won’t be any posts (besides #FreshFridays tomorrow) til late Sunday night dependent on my level of soberness, but Monday fo sho.
