First release off Big K.R.I.T.’s upcoming Returnof4eva album (March 22nd release date). The self-produced track has K.R.I.T. rapping over a steady, soul-driven sample about his early life struggles and how all that he is now began as dreams. Nice motivational track, with all the pieces fitting together nicely on this one.
The Connecticut MC, who many thought should have been included in the Freshmen ’11, returns with two new tracks from his upcoming Webster’s Laboratory mixtape. ‘Killin Em’ and ‘Webster’s Revenge’ both feature some clever lyricism matched with solid flow, a sign that Webby may just be scratching the surface of his potential. This mixtape is going to be live.
K, so I’m not sure on this one. I like it, but then another part of me doesn’t care for it. Either way, this is for sure going to blow up all over town so give it a listen. Thumbs up or down on this one?
Two new tracks from Cole that he released via his Ustream session yesterday. The first track sees Cole go in over Beanie Siegel and Kanye’s 2001 track ‘Nothing Like It’. The next track uses a sample from Biggie’s ‘Can I Get Witcha’ from his second posthumous album Born Again. Let me know how you feel about the tracks, and which one comes out on top, in the comments section.
This song’s been creating some buzz around the virtual world and for some reason I wanted to avoid listening to it. Weird day when I don’t want to listen to new ish, especially coming from high-caliber artists such as Em and B.o.B. No worries though, it’s pretty good. The usual, listen and download.
The untagged version of Life Without Shame (released back in November) finally drops. I listened to this for the first time a few weeks ago, and can tell you that Rojas brings the heat. Download link and tracklist.
